I think the eDonkey plug-in or BT would be fresh. Both of those handle large files. KCeasy supports networks that handle small files well, doesnt handle big files well, or doesnt have a lot of big files on them. I guess you can count Ares but in my opinion it doesn't have the big files I want. I'm happier than shit because KCeasy is growing and people are developing plug-ins, whatever network. Jus personally I didn't care about Ares being added because get my mp3 and pr0n from gnutella and openFT

G2 (i will NEVER call it Gnutella 2) I hear can't handle a big file worth shit.

Ares has some files I can't find on OpenFT or at least not so well, It's kinda like a cleaner FastTrack network to me Smile

Second: BitTorrent support is an absolute must Smile but hey... Smile PS: The Circle looks nice too! =)

Ares has 1000000 people on it. And Ft has how many at most? I saw 55k on kceasy a few times, dunno how accurate that is. I would hope you can find things there you cant find on FT. Ares is kinda like a clean fasttrack for everyone.

Ares has already been done.
Experience shows, that ed2k/kademlia (Kad,Overnet) is very complicated, and new clients (f.e. shareaza) have a big struggle getting a good connection, while putting unnecessary strain on servers/supernodes (or whatever they are called in kademlia). I think, that network should be left to its native clients.
Winmx would be a good addition. That network is large, and its native client requires constant user interaction (otherwise it constantly forgets sources) and is therefore close to unusable.
In my experience Mikes network has hardly any files, that are not on other networks and is therefore not really necessary.
Swarming across networks with different hash types creates a lot of unnecessary traffic, and should therefore be done either manually or not at all.

If you guys dont want the plguisn . delete them . dont make the rets of us have to stay to your prefrence .

we cant add what isnt there but you can remove it .

give us options etc. be fair .

with that said .

i say g2 , mp2p then edk . edkoney is too slow and has lines for waiting .

g2 is a great network and with sources it flies . mp2p is fast and good with only audio . it would have huge lines like edk if it had progs and movies etc.

soulseek should come after edk . though , i ahve had beter luck with soulseek downloads than with edk . i dont think i have ever gotten a download finished with edk .

i know my way around these things and i edk is just painfully slow .

so in order

imo .

g2 , mp2p , soulseek ,open nap ,overnet , kad , edk .

I think that eD2K/Kad/Overnet shouln't be in KCeasy. Just look at Shareaza: The support for eD2K is just terrible.

But it would be nice to see Gnutella2 in KCeasy.

There are much eD2K-Clients (like eMule, eDonkey, MLDonkey, aMule, xMule, lphant, Shareaza, iMesh or Morpheus) and I think the eD2K support in clients connection to more "big" networks really suck.
Adding G2, MP2P, WinMX, Soulseek or something like that would be better, imo.

Gnutella2 is Shareaza's premier network.

soulseek is nowhere near dead and it is the best network for rare music . i cant find most things on any network but soulseek has it . all soulseek needs is to find sources etc.

mp2p would be excellent but piolet and blubster are bloated programs . the network itself is fantastic and still a work in progress..

edk has always been on my good list .

dcc is not so great . if there was a way to stop people from banning you , id be all for it . banning someone for a genre is very natzi and p2p is free..

g2 is great but i have a feeling you will have to get the maker of the network to allow you to use it .

open nap is fine . i would prolly see this added before most of the other networks get added .

Overnet is a pretty known network .. so i am guessing it has a good fan base=more users . i have used it once before and it was fine..

waste ,kad and mute are pretty good but not many seem to know of these networks ..these will prolly be the last to get added.

G2 is an open network. The "maker" has little control over who joins the network. Shareaza is even open source so that leaves little room for control. Try Gnutella2.com for the G2 specs. iMesh, Gnucleus, Morpheus, mlDonkey, Adagio, and many other clients are capable of connecting to G2. In fact, iMesh makes up a good portion of the G2 network at the moment (recent surge). It's not just Shareaza on the network.

Manolito, WinMX, Circle would be nice cause if we put much bigand complex networks the networks can get much worser of not using them correctly.
